Stalker Song Redux #1

Here I am again, but this time I’m gonna explain why these songs came to be in the stalker hit charts. (a little bit - friend of mine)

· A Little Bit - MYMP

o For the chorus, “I’m a little bit of crazy, I’m a little bit of a fool, I’m a little bit of lonely, I’m a little bit of all, oh I need a cure just a little bit of you and I will fall” from the terms used she has the symptoms of lovesickness but there is no evidence that the guy knows or even cares! she’s just saying and it’s not even directly to that person, I like this song, but it still has that word “STALKER” screaming in my ear when I hear this song.

· Akin Ka Na Lang - Itchyworms

o A comedic pop stalker song to enter the chart! this song explains that he is better than the current lover, happy upbeat tunes hide the crazy stalker from within “Akin ka na lang, iingatan ko ang puso mo” it means nobody can do it better but “YOU” and only you (the stalker) sounds scary, huh?

· Ako’y Sayo At Ika’y Akin Lamang - First Circle

o This is popular for a videoke enthusiast and a frequent brokenhearted beerhouse bum. This is one of the best song to sing because of the lyrics which tells that you would not take “NO” for an answer and if ever you say “NO”. Then you (the stalker) would call upon a higher power, hence chanting the names “BATHALA” to help you find him/her, you’re not only dealing with a ninja but also a monk, or a mystic.

· Alipin - Shamrock

o Now comes the lowliest of low - being a slave, doing what ever it takes for it to work although the singer doesn’t actually say that they’re together. He already finished the sentence as it would be an absolute reality that they would always be together. Doing whatever it takes even reaching the stars! (Yuck!) see, what love can do to you!!!

· Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita - Roselle Nava

o I’m at a loss when I heard this song! this song stinks so much! I wanna kill myself, there’s a fine line between being a fool for a person and stalking a person! this song is all about obsession that no matter he/she does he/she still loves him/her! heck a perfect song for a perfect STALKER, but the stupidity of this song is that the singer is asking herself why she still loves that person even though the one that is being described is an ASSHOLE!

· Bat Di Mo Pagbigyan - King

o I don’t really know this song, but a friend suggested it! I don’t want to listen to this!

· Beer - Itchyworms

o a dork, “torpe” Itchyworms style! typical male newbie stalkers would constantly drown themselves in puddles of beer, hence the song title. there’s more to it than just being your “torpe” song, the fact the he’s still holding on to the feeling (persistence - stalker quality no.2) is wonder that it made it to the stalker theme songs

· Constantly - Nina

o well, the singer really looks obsessed, why in the hell would you sing “constantly” to a person? it means your always there watching, waiting to strike! hrmmm sounds like a very obsessed and persistent stalker!

· Oo - Up Dharma Down - CONTRIBUTED BY JANIS

o This is one is similar to Lea Salonga’s Friend of mine, but the creepier part is that the singer is implying the person that he is not aware of her feelings. Signs of heartbreak are evident in the song, but the part that makes it seem a stalker song is in the last stanza, where she sang: “Malas mo ikaw ang natipuan ko.” Even though the song is masked in a heartbreak sort of thing, when the eternal feelings of the girl is not returned by the guy, it still is considered very stalker-ish since she sings about her feelings and the fact that even though she puts her heart on the line, she is still there for him…. standing there… behind him……..

o “Di mo lang alam, kahit tayo’y magkaibigan lang napapaligaya lang sa tuwing nagkukulitan. Baka sakali lang maisip mo naman ako’y nandito lang. Hindi mo lang alam”

· Friend of Mine - Lea Salonga - CONTRIBUTED BY JANIS

o Isn’t it creepy if you have a friend who you are reasonably close for a long time, then he or she just confesses to you that he/she is inlove with you for the longest time? “I’ve known you for so long You are a friend of mine But is this all we’d ever be? I’ve loved you ever since You are a friend of mine… And babe is this all we ever could be?“

Very well said for the stalker theme songs,i have to add a songs, the title is ” Kasalanan ko ba? sung by Neocolors, Kasalanan ko ba
