MMO Gaming : Freestyle Online Philippines

Freestyle Online Philippines a nice game, but has it’s share of problems, albeit almost all MMO games are striken with connection problems.
Freestyle Online a game brought to us by levelup games. I recently discovered a way to Play Freestyle online in Windows Vista. So Right now, whenever I have a free time I play the game. Hey I still need to work but I play Freestyle Online on night time.
But the problem is the other players, I’m not saying that all players of Freestyle Online are assholes there are still decent and good players that play the game for the “love of the game”. The decent players are not concerned if they win or lose, or If you fuck up by missing the rebound or missed a quick jumper.
Here’s what I’ve noticed from other players
When you’re a Center - they blame you when you can’t get a rebound, get out rebounded by a forward, get blocked, can’t block any player approaching “the paint”, when you finally get a rebound then proceed to either a lay up or a dunk you’ll be called “bwakaw” or a glutton, or selfish.
Ingame Conversation :
- “Reb naman C”
- “BOBO mo C”
- “DEF naman dyan C”
- “Block mo naman Tanga”
- “Gago ka C”
- “Bwakaw mo C”
- “Pass naman dyan”
- “Umayos ka C”
- “Talon C”
When you’re a Forward - you get blamed for not getting a rebound , getting out- rebounded by a center or a fellow forward, get blocked, won’t pass to other players, miss a jump shot, or if you interfere or do a help defense for your teammate Center, that teammate instead of saying thanks, would ask you to leave the “paint” because the Center in charge of rebounds ( even if that center can’t get a rebound) and blames you if the center can’t get the rebound.
Ingame Conversation :
- “Reb naman F”
- “BOBO mo F”
- “DEF naman dyan F”
- “Block mo naman Tanga”
- “Gago ka F”
- “Bwakaw mo F”
- “Pass naman dyan”
- “Umayos ka F”
- “Wag pilit ang Dunk F”
- “Alis sa ilalim F”
When you’re a Guard - guards are responsible for the overall flow of the game, you have to shoot either jump shots or 3 points, defend from other guards and steal the ball from all other players. Players love you and praise you when make shots count, but if you miss one shot you’re nothing but a stupid “noob”, “bobo mo G”
Ingame Conversation :
- “Def naman G”
- “BOBO mo G”
- “Wag pilit ang 3s G”
- “Wag Dribble ng Dribble”
- “Gago ka G”
- “Bwakaw mo G”
- “Pass naman dyan”
- “Umayos ka G”
- “Wag tanga G”
And here’s the Ingame conversation that is generic for all players
- “Gago ka!”
- “Puta ka!”
- “Tae ka!”
- “Hoy, Mga laggers!”
- “Pasa ka naman”
- “Scared?”
- “Takot”
- “Lag ka Gago!”
- “Sliders”
- “Delay”
- “Amf”
- “B0b0 ka”
- “Bwakaw”
- “Bwakaw Mode”
- “Durog Kayo”
- “Halimaw”
- “Quit ka na habang maaga”
- “Bulate” (when you use the Double Clutch skill)
- “Tippers” (when you use the Tip In Skill)
- “Rape” ( there’s a time when you fake a shot, then try to pass to a teamate then your defender would steal the ball and a sort of “fight for the ball” would ensue thus coining the word “rape”)
- “Pilay” (getting stunned by an ankle-breaking dribble by an opposing player)
- “Medic” (flying all the way to the 3point line after being blocked by an opposing player when doing a power move or dunk)
- “HBO or DVD” (when you get stunned, controls never function even if you pressed the corresponding key, for blocking or rebounding)
and there’s a new word I recently discovered and it’s called “PS” at first I thought it stands for PlayStation, but later I found out that it stands for “Print Screen” you press the Print Screen key on your keyboard to simulate a lag, or a “slide” and simulate a laggy connection. A trick used by losers, On Offense, using the “PS” strategy will make you “slide” thus you’re harder to block. I don’t know if this works on defence. I never tried it, I’m not into cheating and stuff.
More Bad experiences with asshole players of Freestyle Online
- During a team game (3 on 3) the first seconds of the game I took a 3 point shot, it went in, then the players called me “bwakaw”. (I’m using a Guard Character)
- I just received a pass from a teammate and then they expect to pass it again to them, if I take time to hold the ball for a while i’ll get called “bwakaw” (I’m using a Forward Character)
- I got out rebounded by a Forward, because my teammate took a shot while I’m still not in position to get a rebound, I’m still on the 3 point line! called me “BOBO” and then said “reb naman dyan” (I’m using a Center Character)
Now I play Freestyle Online during nighttimes because there’s a lot more decent players, that just enjoy the game, don’t worry themselves with trash talking. Decent players are the ones that are man enough to accept a lose. Either win or lose, It doesn’t matter as long as you play the game.
Also I noticed players Use the word “Lag” as an excuse if they lose, they say that’s only because of “lag” that you won. I know it’s lame.

Yo!..you're here at
[...] Check it out! While looking through the blogosphere we stumbled on an interesting post today.Here’s a quick excerptFreestyle Online Philippines a nice game, but has it’s share of problems, albeit almost all MMO games are striken with connection problems. I can completely relate on those in-game conversations whenever I’m at internet cafes!
Sometimes I get alarmed when there’s a commotion during those games…haha

@Maki… you know… they talk trash because they hide by their high-level character but actually in real-life they’re no match.
Heck… Casual gamers are 13-18 year olds that aren’t even on the legal drinking age and haven’t been laid. So I guess the raging hormones are the reason why they’re so tough.

[...] online for free! Need I say more, there are lots of free online multiplayer games that I enjoy like Freestyle Online Philippines for example! Although Xbox Live is great and all you still have to choke up added cash. On the PC, [...]
They don’t use their fuckin’ brains that’s why they act like that. They blame the C for not getting a rebound not thinking that they MISS the shot in the first place or they suck at DEFENSE giving the enemy a wide open shot!!

@ErickMachine
Yeah I know…they don’t use their brains.. they’re just too shallow…
and when you win, you get praised by you’re teammates.. but when you lose you’re the one who gets blamed

Yap, I agree with you buddy! Actually, I really enjoy this online game but as you said there were players who do unpleasant words especially when your team is getting lose. What I have been doing is that telling my team or other players about sportsmanship, how to react properly and accept every players as who they are. Like you, I always play the game during night because I can play with good players, good not only by playing but by good sportsmanship. Secondly, I always looking for female players (true female) because they are sensitive in the feelings of others; but male users, some of them were “bastos” or indecent not only that they are also lustful…..oh my goodness….that is just a cartoon character how come they get stimulated erotically. Anyway, the fact is that the game is teaching us how to unite ourselves to others with trust and love, and I believe so that every game requires team work and forgiveness in order for us to win every set of game. To lose doesn’t mean the end of the whole game, indeed you can play still, and while you play the game with patience you will realize that you are doing well (practice makes you perfect). That’s all…..see you on the game buddy!

@whendell
It’s a Skill.. If your character is a Power Forward or PF buy the skill Free Will so whenever you press the key F it will do a dunk everytime.
or buy equipment or gear that has boost for Jump and Dunk attributes

@krystle
Actually I’m not really sure if there’s a difference… might be in avatar’s or character item and maybe even in skills.
but in the game.. well, high-level players kick low-level players thinking that low level players are noobs or such also imagine being beaten by a lowlevel character.
@dapalan
well I still need to earn points to be able to buy the skills..
oo tama ka laro tau.. kita tau level 35 na SF ko…
[Reply]
How come some players, specially high level ones, get a chance to enter a portal for players skilled with lower level? Just wonderin….
[Reply]
@pherds
Ok… well I have seen that often… high level players going to the rookie server.. It maybe a bug or something..because that happened to me a couple of times…
I don’t actually know how to do that… IMHO, it’s a dick move… because you are promoted to a higher level yet you still play with low level characters… and/or try to play at the rookie server.. Bullying.. hrrrmm maybe… or a noobie move?
[Reply]
@Jaren
You’re right dude. Desperate move I guess…
[Reply]
@pherds
Here’s what I figured out… hrmmm, if you play at different servers aside from the one that you’re supposed to play in… your rank stats would not change but you will continue to earn points and exp, but playing with inferior players will only give you a small amount of exp (if you’re a highlevel character “superior”) but you can rack up the points necessary to buy skills.

Nice post! I’m also a player of FS and I sympathize with you on the attitude of some players. Been player for a year now but my C is only lvl 26 (pumpz33).
I’m also playing at night because of work and I do enjoy players with a sense of sportmanship in their minds. Hope to play with you one of these days.
I also hated the “fake pass” move when used always and Gs can only convert 20% of their 3s rather than having a high % shot in the paint.

Jaren reply on June 7, 2008 5:24 pm:
Sure pumpz23, I’ll try and look for your center, and yes thank you very much for your inputs and for visiting my site.
Well…
I have a level 25 SG (Badongski2)
and a level 30 SF (Lady3118)
Hope I can play with you too.
