Is your Vista Healthy? Then Try these tools…

Window Vista : System Health Report
I usually experience these occasional slowdowns, errors and the dreaded BSOD due to the fact that I in my part is responsible due to my frantic installations of various incompatible softwares and such for experience and for the sake of testing and debunking the news that Windows Vista sucks so bad. I’m beginning to feel concerned for my Vista and my laptop because of the punishment it received by my hands. A good thing about Windows Vista is that it’s packed with tools for maintenance and repairs needed to track errors that may occur with your software and hardware.

Now comes the cute part : The System Health Report will generate a report to will tell you what’s wrong with Vista and what’s preventing it from running smoothly and cool addition to it is that it gives suggestions on how to fix the errors encountered. Of course I had to check this out for I am paranoid and I don’t want anything to happen to my Laptop…

Steps :
1. Click Start
2. Control Panel
3. System And Maintenance
4. Performance Information Tools
5. Click on Advanced Tools located on the Left Pane
6. Generate Health System Report

It should be over in a couple of minutes, so why not take this time to fix yourself a up of coffee and a ham sandwich, after the tests finish check the results and review the suggestions, you would be directed to Windows Vista Help Page for the solutions.

Windows Vista : Windows Experience Index
Another Useful Tool while your at it is checking the Performance Information Tools to be able to check your Vista’s rating on the computer you’re using.

1. Click Start
2. Control Panel
3. System And Maintenance
4. Performance Information Tools
5. Click on Check your Computer’s Windows Experience Index base score

Now again it would take a couple of minutes so be patient. (Patience is a virtue) after the test is complete view the results, I got a very high score 4.7 on everything except graphics which is 4.1 which brings my overall score is 4.1, nice after all I’ve done to my laptop it still kicks ass… Yeah. After all the news I’m hearing about how Vista sucks, and my own experience testing it I’m starting to laugh at the news. Vista is nice and lots of features to explore, just appreciate Vista, It’s not the end of the world. :)
