Here’s how you can run freestyle online on Windows Vista
First of all you have to Disable the UAC (User Account Controls) a nice program but conflicts with HackShield
Here’s how to do it…
Disabling UAC via Control Panel
- Click Start
- Go to Control Panel.
- Go to User Account and Family settings
- Click the Add or remove user account option.
- Select your user account.
- Click the Go to the main User Account page option.
- Click the Change security settings option.
- Remove the check beside the Turn on User Account Control (UAC).
- Click OK.
- Restart the computer. BOOM all done.. hehehe

If you don’t have the Freestyle Online Client Yet…Download the Client HERE via Freestyle Online Philippines Website
NOW let’s get FREESTYLE ONLINE RUNNING on WINDOWS VISTA
On your Vista Desktop
- Right-Click on the Freestyle Launcher Icon
- Select Properties
- Go to the Compatibility Tab
- Check Run this Program in compatiblity mode for:
- Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
- Check Disable Visual Themes
- Check Disable Desktop Composition
- Check Disable Display Scaling on high DPI settings
- Click Ok
- Click Start
- Click Control Panel
- Click Windows Firewall
- On the Left Sidebar Click “Allow a program through Windows Firewall”On the Exceptions Tab
- Click Add program then select Freestyle Online Launcher from the list of the programs
- Click OK twice to close Windows Firewall
Remember after disabling the UAC you should restart your Computer..
Assuming that your UAC is Disabled and you have restarted you computer
It’s time to play Freestyle Online
Click the Freestyle Launcher Icon and Boom!!! Start Playing!!!

Well this Game is the FreeStyle Online Client for the Philippines. You have to be located in the Philippines to be able to play and download the Philippine Client.
BTW, Where are you Located. If you want to Download the Freestyle Street Basketball Client which is intended for North American Players from Sierra Online.

What do you mean by “register” you??
First thing is you have to download the client
then register for a user name for the account..
but the one I previewed on this article is for Freestyle Online Philippines.. which is brought to us by Level Up! games

in freestyle i turned off the uac but whenever i start freestyle it say error with hackshield and it shuts down any idea, i used to have xp and i have no problem with fs, but with vista cant even load it

There are 3 things (that I know of) that would cause the error.
Is it the error you receive after you start freestyle or something within the game…
1. If you started the game and then receive an error message then it must be the Vista Firewall is blocking Hackshield. Try to allow the freestyle launcher to pass through the firewall
2. Or you may have hacktools or memory editors located or currently running.
3. The error is due to compatibility errors in Windows Vista (which is regular and unavoidable) we all know Vista sucks at Compatibility right..

yup after i strted the game it says anti hacking function detected, i already allowed it through the firewall, dont know much about hacktools and memory editors could you specify?

Yes so that’s why it’s closing the game Hackshield is detecting hacking tools on your system…
Hrrmmm let me see I may have some ideas on what causes that ( because I did some experiments on that on what hacking tools would cause the game to crash… but i never did anything other than that.. I’m not into cheating, I like playing fair)
It maybe xvi32, hacktools, tsearch, or rootkits those are the memory editors that are loaded into your system’s memory and would allow you to find memory addresses to be able to change your characters “stats”
try opening up your task manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL then look for those programs and then close it…
and check your startup folder the shortcut for that programs may also be on that folder.

ff up q? how could those hacking tools get into my machine? i bought a new machine and load up the software myself. could it be from other games i installed to my machine, like crysis, halo2, gears of war and oblivion. could you educate me about this.

I’m not really sure how those things got in there.. it was just my initial reaction because that’s what i did when those problem occurred (the anti-hacking detected error) installed those said programs (the hacking tools) on my vista box myself..
as you said it your rig is new so try uninstalling the freestyle program then reinstall it again…
as for your FS character nice a level 34..
My Highest character is a level 28 SF.. don’t have much time to play due to work…
so what’s your character position?
and BTW did you download the FS client at the levelupgames.ph website…
as for your other games… no it won’t affect anything as far as other games installed…
so I see you played gears of war and oblivion too.. love those games too…
i even have HALO : Combat Evolved, Doom 3 , Tomb Raider Anniversary, Fallout 2, Civilization 3 installed on my Vista Box and they all work nicely

I see if you can’t find any… then there maybe something wrong with the freestyle launcher instead did you try uninstalling the freestyle application … try downloading the freestyle client at http://freestyle.levelupgames......=downloads then try to install it.
and about Punkbuster it’s an anti hacking tool it prevents hacking into online games

well it may or may not be the culprit but it is logical so it maybe if you can try and remove punkbuster… because i think punkbuster is the one that is preventing FS to run or is the one that hackshield is detecting

I do not hack games… I made this tutorial to run Freestyle Online Philippines on Windows Vista…Because I love playing Freestyle, I like it as it is and don’t want to cheat…
Blingy’s cost money to have blingy you have to “BUY” a levelup card… If I was to activate “unlimited blingy” (which I don’t know how) then I would be cheating the game out for money it would only lead me to potload of trouble.
And also if you want an account just go to http://levelupgames.ph and register for an account. It’s pretty easy and it’s free… Freestyle Online Philippines is free to play… Blingy is just to buy better looking clothes with stat boosters added to it… You can still play the game even without blingy
Unless you’re not from the Philippines and want to play Freestyle Philippines.. well that’s another story.

you got a runtime error… It maybe a problem with the application itself meaning the installer itself or the setup application or maybe has something to do with the cd…
I suggest a new CD or really try downloading the client from level up.
heres what you can do….
copy the contents of the whole cd onto you harddrive and try to run the installation from there.

As I’ve said… I DO NOT HACK GAMES…
the anti-hacking tools comes with the Freestyle Client… HACKSHIELD is the ANTI-HACKING TOOL so you don’t need to get them…
If what you’re telling me is where to get the hack tools… just try to google it — xvi32, tsearch etc… but FYI, Hackshield detects this and therefore closes the game before you can edit the memory address of the relevant stat that you want to change.
IN THEORY :
for every stat available on your character there is a memory address equivalent to it. since it’s loaded into your computer’s memory… so you have to find changing values for example EXP your Exp changes every time you win or lose in a game in example you got about 125,789 exp look for that string convert into a 4bit hex value then start looking for its memory address, then edit away….
this is very tricky since you have to do lots of times to get the right value and memory address equivalent to it.

Usually if it’s a runtime error. it’s problem with the software or the program itself.. so I suggest you try uninstalling the program then reinstalling it again. If that doesn’t work or you still have the same error.. then try re-downloading the client, then installing it…

to uninstall a program or the freestyle program go to your
control panel -> programs and features -> then select the freestyle launcher icon then select uninstall..
to reinstall the program select the program installer on the file location that you previousy saved your downloaded freestyle client installer

I didn’t have any problem of my WIN XP box…
but if you said there’s an error… it might be these things :
1. You’re not connected to the internet
2. you may have to uninstall the program then install it again.
are there any errors or any error messages during the loading of the launcher? or probably the program itself is not updating.. so i suggest you reinstall the program.

i have dsl connection, and i re-installed the program twice already. it’s updating but somehow it stops loading after it updates. i checked the processes. it just disappears. is it because i use windows xp pro essential? or is it just my firewall?

still no improvement. it still shuts down. and there’s an error log in my fs folder. it goes like this:

anyways… hrrmmmm… an exception error…
An Exception code : C0000005 error is the old Windows “General Protection Fault”. It is a fatal error that could be caused by many things.
-could be memory
-could be the network card
-could be printer drivers
-could be old drivers improperly configured
now unstalling the freestyle application seems a very logical approach but if that doesn’t cut it..
try this:
after you uninstall the freestyle application make sure you also delete the registry strings for freestyle online…
after you have deleted the registry string for the freestyle online. try re-installing it again that should work fine by now.
if that doesn’t work… well, we’ll try another approach.

Have you tried it on a different browser?
I can’t seem to find alternate download locations for it.

Well, It seems that you may have to reinstall FS.. since as you’ve said you got errors while you were installing it, right?
or as well have you set the compatibility for the freestyle launcher shortcut .. I suggest you do this :

when you are installing the game. did you experienced any error and there will a prompt box with 3 options,, abort, ignore and retry..

ok.. here’s the thing…
on both my laptops they’re working fine.. yes i can play freestyle on both versions of Vista..
as for the errors you are encountering… well… shit happens we know…that the FS launcher is not patched and updated properly..
my solution to that is I go the Freestyle Philippines folder on my Program files and delete the “TEMP” and “fix” folders. then run the update again.. that should fix it.

I think it may really be a problem with Hackshield not updating properly.
this might work:
go the Freestyle Philippines folder on Program files and then delete the “TEMP” and “fix” and “hackshield” folder then run the the FS launcher to see if it updates again.. that should fix it.

ahm can you help me about IP errors.. my connection is Digitel Dsl running in 512kbps. is it enough?? last time i am playing with gud IP but right now i cant play because i have no IP.. i cant also see the IP of my opponents.. do you have any recommendation?

Usually, it’s because of your ISP..
So Digitel should play with Digitel players too. and vice versa
Usually that’s what happens, I have SmartBro so I play with SmartBro Players too… but when we have a Globe DSL or Digitel player it usually has no IP connection status while all of us have green.
Well it doesn’t usually mean that it would lag during the game.

When it is about connection problems… well… that’s the problem with online games..
it depends on connection and “handshake” between the computers that logs on to the gaming server…
I also had problems playing earlier.
but as you said.. it only happened this day right..
Remember that sometimes game server have scheduled maintenance and are sometimes down…
so chill and wait… try playing other games.

I tried using my Xbox 360 controller with the Pinnacle Game Profiler Software once… I got the movements right but I can’t seem to do anything but move can’t shoot or anything.. hrrmm might be a bug but still I will make a research about it again and also you can try Switchblade, I think Switchblade is specifically designed for WoW (World of Warcraft)

LOL, you can play this with Windows XP after all FS and Hackshield was designed for Windows XP. This Tutorial is workaround to make it work on Windows Vista.

Tol. I aint got no [windows xp (service pack 2)] i only got [windows 2000] and windows NT 4.0 (service pack 5). Then sinunod ko ung 3 ways to disable UAC. may kulang kasi sa options. wla doong remove account ang nakalagay lng ay ” Pick a Task” then “Pick an Account to change” Tapos wlang USer Account page options. Ang nakalagay lng ay change name, picture, password.
Tapos yung isa try ko sa RUN. regedit.
di ko makita yong ENABLELUA.
tapos yung isang way number 2,yung msconfig, di ko makita yung “Tools Tab”..
Bago lng kasi tong Vista eh. ewan ko kung anung version toh. basta Vista.

You can try using Windows 2000 or other Windows Version or better yet just leave it without compatibility mode, but remember to check the 3 boxes.

Are you logged in as administrator in Windows Vista? Because You have to have administrative rights to be able to disable the UAC…
but you can try this :
1. Type cmd in the search box in the Start Menu.
2. Right-click cmd in the search results and select to Run as administrator.
3. Type the following in the command prompt and press enter:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /k %windir%\System32\reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
4. Restart your computer.

I typed the cmd then run it as administrator, yu nga may ERROR. Tapos ginamit ko yung sa mama ko as administrator, then i typed the “C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /k %windir%\System32\reg.exe” copy paste ko lng the whole thing. Then merong chose REG operations.
I Typed REG(space)ADD(space)HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f” i just copied and pasted the whole thing you typed. Yun lng. Di kasi ako PRO sa pc. Sorry.

so you have an error message when you used your account but when you used the administrator account you had another error…
does the administrator account have a password?? if not then that may be the possible cause of it.
like the message on the error you got “Possible reasons are blank passwords are not allowed”
It is possible that you can create a new administrator account set the username for the account and put a password on it. Then proceed with the same steps.
Has anybody figured out how to use a controller for this game instead of the keyboard?

BTW. I have an experience in my PC when it was (WINDOWS XP). When i played Freestyle, it was just doing fine then many months passed, when im playing Freestyle, my screen just error with nothing on it and it was like many colors scattered in it and my CPU is beeping after the another. Just beeps.I pulled out all the connections at the back of the CPU then put it all back in and it beeps again. Nothing happened. And i pulled out again all the cables of my CPU. After 3 days. It went back to normal. I thought it was fine coz i used it a couple of hours then i shut downed it properly. When i turned on the PC, the beeping went back. What am i gonna do man?
IS IT THE VIDEOCARD?? have you experienced something like this? Maybe your friends experienced somehing like this? How come my neighbors not experiencing this?
thats why i have some phobia playing this with my PC because the BEEPING might return.

How many beeps? because there are corresponding errors for the sets of beeps, it could be the memory which may be loose or something. Or yes it may even be the videocard. Try removing the videocard then put it in again.
Also you can check if your videocard drivers are update… Try updating your videocard drivers.
The game itself is not the cause of those errors, but since the game uses graphic processing power, it might have had an impact on the overall process of you Videocard hence it went black…
Probably your PC or Videocard is overheating… make sure you place your PC in a cool well ventilated place.
I personally never have experienced this, and if I did experience this. I would try to fix it, and or get help from others.

Can you tell me what site where i’ma update videocard drivers? Coz i might go into a site where viruses hang around.
Sorry but i dont know where to find the videocard in the CPU. I think i may not be able to play this game until i found the solutions to this beeping.
BTW. it beeps like the rhythm of the clock (tic toc)

Then I suggest you look for someone who can do it for you… and also I have to know your videocard, like what kind of videocard is it? what brand? what chipset? Because there are lots of download sites out there.
If you have an updated anti-virus installed you shouldn’t afraid of viruses.
Why not just bring it to a computer tech??? let him repair it. Like You said you’re not that good with computers so just bring to a computer repair shop to get it fixed. But while a computer repairman is fixing your computer you can go ask what are the steps and how to do it. So you learn in the process too…
REMEMBER IF YOU ARE UNSURE ON HOW TO DO THIS LET SOMEONE ELSE WHO KNOWS HOW, DO IT FOR YOU.

The repairman or the store hasn’t said about anything about any videocard.My sister told me that they said that it was the power supply which i think that it will make the videocard run into full. They haven’t said anything that the videocard was damaged.

If its an Intel Graphics card.. hrmm.. it’s onboard.. so you don’t have a problem with update because Windows Updates the drivers for you.
Ok.. sometimes the videocard, memomy simms, just need to be removed and re-set back into to place.
And yes sometimes, when there is a problem with the power supply it, it causes the PC to beep because there isn’t enough power supplied on your whole PC.
